Terms of Service

By using BaiKhata you agree to these terms.

1. The service

BaiKhata is a billing, inventory, customer-udhaar, purchase and marketing tool for small shops (restaurant, kirana, medical, clothing, pan and general). Some features (WhatsApp marketing) require a pre-paid wallet balance managed by BaiKhata.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to sign up. You are responsible for keeping your phone/OTP secure and for all activity on your account. Staff you add have restricted role-based access.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use BaiKhata for illegal business, spam, or to harass customers.
Do not attempt to break, reverse-engineer or overload the service.
You must comply with GST, e-invoicing and other tax laws applicable to your business.

4. Fees & wallet

The core app is free. WhatsApp campaigns are billed per-message from your pre-paid wallet at the rate shown in the app (₹0.85/msg by default, configured by platform admin). Top-ups are recorded manually after your UPI/bank transfer is confirmed.

5. Data ownership

You own your business data (items, customers, bills). BaiKhata processes it only to run the service. You can export a full JSON backup any time from Settings.

6. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance may occur.

7. Termination

You can stop using the app any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. After termination your data is retained for 30 days and then deleted.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BaiKhata and its authors are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data or business.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute is subject to the courts of Delhi.
